Press release of the MLMUPC Annual Report Conference 2017 and strategic plan for 2018
On 28th of December 2017, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) has organized the Annual Report Conference for 2017 and the strategic plan for 2018 with approximately 800 participants. The conference fully agreed on the Ministry’s annual report and the 2018’s strategic plan with 19 major points including:
- Promote announcement of judgment area in the village throughout the country to accelerate systematic land registration, which currently achieves 66.4% of the estimated 7 million parcels
- Strengthening collaboration with the capital/provincial administration to accelerate settling land disputes for the safety of land tenure and social harmony
- Continue to protect coastal waterfront strip and develop coastal areas of Cambodia by developing national integrating development strategies of coastal areas of Cambodia, provincial land use master plan, urban land use master plan, coastal maps, coastal waterfront strip and island land use master plan in the four coastal provinces in Cambodia.
- Advocate to develop land use allocation plan and land use index in the four districts of Phnom Penh: Khan Daun Penh, Khan 7 Makara, Khan Toul Kork and Khan Chamkar Mon
- Continue to provide social land concessions and build homes for families of soldiers and polices, families of veterans, maimed, disabled, dead and losing their ability to work that are poor, homeless, and settled along the border
